I was worried when I saw the headline and, while shingles isn't fun, it's better than I was expecting. And we might get a good episode of Would I Like To You out of it somehow.

Yeah, typical click bait headline. What health update? Which replacement comedian? Click here to find out!

I was expecting a fish bait headline.

Missed opportunity for "flick bait headline" 🤷🏼‍♂️

Now I cant for the life of me recall where I saw it but I do remember seeing something that Bob Mortimer is not in great health in general.

It's part of the premise of the show as both he and Paul Whitehouse ha e dickie tickers (although, oddly, they aren't overly specific of which bits of the rock and roll comedy lifestyle if the 80s and 90s would cause that 🤔 ) so they get out and about for a bit of gentle fishing.

Strange decision. The relationship between Bob and Paul is so essential to the show, I'm surprised they didn't postpone filming that episode. But I'll still watch it.

I think there was a magic in that first series that they haven't come close to capturing since. It was so raw and honest and unpretentious, it was a work of art about what it means to be a guy who is getting old and watching in helpless despondence as his body falls apart around him. They seem much more guarded in subsequent series.

I wonder if they film quite close to broadcast. This doesn't appear as a "box set" on iPlayer which suggests they've not finished filming before the series starts. This article sounds like it's just happened, so they are probably still filming this series rather than next? With that short lead time they wouldn't be able to postpone (unless they skipped a week, but that's annoying for the schedulers and listings guides)

Hope he's ok. I know shingles isn't supposed to be serious but given his health issues it may not be as straightforward.
