One of, if not the most, popular comics of his.
The Far Side
Hello fellow Far Side fans!
About this community and how I post the comic strip… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips and one of those was The Far Side. These days of course you find just about anything online including www.thefarside.com where they post several comics a day and I repost them here. Just to note, the date you see in my posts is not the initial release date, but the date they were posted on the website.
The Far Side is a single-panel comic created by Gary Larson and syndicated by Chronicle Features and then Universal Press Syndicate, which ran from December 31, 1979, to January 1, 1995 (when Larson retired as a cartoonist). Its surrealistic humor is often based on uncomfortable social situations, improbable events, an anthropomorphic view of the world, logical fallacies, impending bizarre disasters, (often twisted) references to proverbs, or the search for meaning in life… Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Far_Side

One of my favorites!
💯
This comic has lived rent free in my head for pretty much my whole 30 years of life.
A true classic
I knew someone who wore a shirt with this on it
Might have been me. My mom got me one in 6th grade when I got into a gifted program
Did you also have a Wayne’s World shirt, and a “Red Hot SILLY Peppers” shirt? (This guy had some cool shirts now that I think about it.)
No, sadly I am not that cool. Hence the gifted program
My now wife was wearing this shirt when I met her.
Nice to know upfront that she's a keeper
I had this shirt 20+ years ago. Wore it out.
I think about this damn comic so much.
Every time I do this in real life or see a door with the wrong label on it I think of this comic!
A classic!
My favourite panel ever.
Love this. "Midvale School For The Gifted" has been my go-to example of irony.
This was on the door of of my magnet school, with the magnet school's name subbed in on the sign.
What's the joke? I know that a supposedly gifted child is using the door wrong but there should be more to it, right?
Nope, it's a simple mismatch, funny because it would be unexpected.
I expected satirical commentary of the education system... oh well
Our standards were lower 30 years ago.
That is indeed the joke, as far as know. Though I wonder if the artist was aware that the closing mechanism would usually be on the other side...
This is the best Far Side ever published.
Haha it says pull but he pushes hilarious
