I've sent this letter: As a citizen, and physician, I am appalled at the lack of response from the AMA with respect to the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. for HHS secretary. Can you please explain you inaction? https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2025/02/im-a-doctor-and-im-appalled-at-the-silence-from-the-american-medical-association/ additionally: On AMA’s silence in the face of Trump’s violation of their standards On Trump’s removal of sanctuary status for hospitals On AMA’s silence around the government’s lack of action on bird flu On physician burnout On the "pausing" MMWR On the disconnection from WHO Your considered input on this and other crucial health related matters is critical to the health of American citizens, and indeed throughout the world.

and a link to the MJ article to the AMA at their website. And I suggest others do so as well.

This brings back fond Reddit memories of when it could be good. Thanks for doing this.

who does this guy think is listening? who does he imagine he's talking to? what does he imagine can be done about it now? democrats have no power to stop this, and republicans are lockstep behind trump. none of trump cabinet nominees are suited, educated, or experienced, and their only remit is to destroy the government agencies they're assigned to, so that in the chaos of dysfunction and death, trump can steal everything that isn't nailed down. he's get to the nailed down shit later, he's got plenty of time.

This is how you start a grass roots call for protest. You have someone who is respected call out the agency and see who joins the protest.

That's grammatically correct. Harm can be a noun, like "you're doing harm." You're creating problems. These assholes' lobbying problems help shape policy.

But isn't it supposed to be "arm" not harm?

Oh. Yeah, probably.
