Where was all this energy in 2021, when they had control of both congresses and president?

Where was all this energy in 2009, when they had control of both congresses and president and supreme court?

Where was this energy....

And from 2013:

Since 1979 . . . our productivity is up by more than 90 percent, but the income of the typical family has increased by less than 8 percent. Since 1979, our economy has more than doubled in size, but most of that growth has flowed to a fortunate few. . . . The combined trends of increased inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American Dream, our way of life, and what we stand for around the globe. . . . And finally, rising inequality and declining mobility are bad for our democracy. Ordinary folks can’t write massive campaign checks or hire high-priced lobbyists and lawyers to secure policies that tilt the playing field in their favor at everyone else’s expense.

you see, the realization hit just as they lose pretenses of having power

Nice catch!

Each time Democrats’ backs have been up against the wall, they’ve turned to populism — in words only, naturally — for salvation.

Nah, not each time. Kamala Harris was all about genociding Palestinians, "keeping the border safe" and "following the law" against trans people when her back was up against the wall last year and told the poor that the economy is doing fine, actually.

The whole point of her running was to get trump elected.

I really don't think so, they could have kept Biden and lost. He had no hope.

I feel like the DNC is so out of touch they thought Kamala could just run on DEI vibes and not-Cheeto® credentials and win, all the while proclaiming explicit Rightist stances and while supporting an unpopular genocide. They sometimes really are just oblivious elites.

"Trump and his administration are fascists, and the only solution for fascists is to kill them... kill them with kindness that is.

People don't vote for us because they are ignorant about how great we are 😌"

Never forget how inherently demonic liberals are. I can't even assign a word that's insulting enough and I know a lot of words. Nazi collaborator is the closest I can come to describe what they deserve.

[–] Hexboare@hexbear.net 15 points 4 hours ago

Well dang it, they didn't vote for our tax hike and instead made us vote for a tax cut!

Sick of those bad republicans tricking our good and pure democrats? Donate to act blue now. For just your rent amount per week, you can provide a Buttigieg with a steady supply of therapy dogs

The challenges that face America are coming from inside the house.
