In case you missed it, a Saudi guy rammed a Christmas market with his car. Killed 5 people including one kid. Press inferrung that he's an "islamist" but he's well known for being anti-Muslim and pro AfD.

Getting some real Reichstag fire vibes from this.

It's not a false flag (we really gotta stop doing this, people), the guy literally supported the AfD, if anything they were probably pretty nervous that this would fuck up their chances when they're so high in the polls.

The AfD lucked out that for one the media was super irresponsible for jumping on the "he's an islamist" angle when the guy was literally a saudi atheist, and above that is that the fact that he's an arab immigrant, and that probably matters to anti-immigrant germans MORE than the fact the he was a, I assume, pretty well integrated atheist AfD supported.

There is something very telling about Germany which patronizingly preaches about Western values and peace to Palestinians which get displaced and bombed regularly immediately have large portion of their country turn fascist as soon as there is smallest amount of societal disruption and violence, backing the party that supports the political ideology that caused said violence no less.

It also makes me respect those who suffer from some of the worst of humanity in cruelty and violence still embrace kindness and compassion first.

Who says the Germans need a reason to be racist

The seeding for this was done many years ago by letting West Germany be governed by literal Nazis (who got to have a say in things for decades after WWII)

AfD has been making gains since their inception; they don't need any sort of event like that, Germany is just that caliber of xenophobic

Germany or the whole of Europe? We saw similar rises of fascism 100 years ago.

INSA polls generally skew in favor of AfD, but yes, chuds will absolutely and unwaveringly buy into a false flag like that.

Saudi immigrant in Germany who's anti-Muslim

New type of guy just dropped

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 11 points 4 days ago

Pretty common on the anti-Muslim media circuit. Surprised it took this long for a fascist chud pick-me to do something like this.

Why do you figure this is a false flag?

The stronghold for the AfD is former East Germany

[–] came_apart_at_Kmart@hexbear.net 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

the communists always said the Berlin wall was an anti-fascist measure. the wall falls and 25 years later, the fascists are back, heavily organizing in the east.

[–] Geobloke@lemm.ee 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Why aren't the fascists as prevalent elsewhere?

[–] came_apart_at_Kmart@hexbear.net 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

imagine thinking western Germany isn't a fascist stronghold, because the political party support there is one of the other, friendlier fascist brands that has never bothered to root out Nazis from the intelligence or state security apparatus and has been all to eager to clamp down on those speaking against the Israeli genocide of gazans.

as soon as the wall fell, the west eagerly began a process of re-nazification on the east through the standard Nazi-era projects of privatization and the hollowing out of social support programs.

you libs would be far more amusing if you weren't so eager to support the material conditions of reactionary violence everywhere you turn and then pretend like you aren't the handmaiden of reaction.

[–] Geobloke@lemm.ee 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You didn't answer the question

sure I did. You're just another brain wormed lib, blaming the consequences of 35 years of neoliberal austerity capitalism on a socialist project that was actively dismantled and looted.

"Former" being the key word.
