Huh. An actual decent pick. Broken clock and all that.
I'm not a big fan of the concept of putting a payment app billionaire in a government role. At least he's a space nerd and not just a grifter. I'm sure he crewed programs and SpaceX will do well, but we'll see how Artemis changes (cut Gateway? Cut SLS? Start to move on from Orion?), and how the science directorates change. I also wonder if they'll try to downsize some facilities, buy people out into retirement, etc.
I'm far more concerned for the "non-flashy" programs. There are a lot of scientific programs about to be cancelled in favor of utter bullshit programs like Artemis or some mars landing fever dream.
His past efforts to save Hubble and Chandra make me feel a bit better.
Which TV show does this one host?
I'm not aware of any TV shows he hosts, but the closest would probably be the Inspiration4 Netflix docuseries.
