I think I'd wanna get this for the Mountain Dew-themed PC build I didn't know I wanted to do until right this very moment.

wasnt there someone that used mountain dew (properly decarbonated) for their liquid cooling or something?
Damn. 8BitDo is getting their money's worth out of those poor injection-molds. 🤣
I understand it's a nice enough keyboard at its price point, but I'm not entirely sure the exact same piece of plastic is equally successful at evoking the NES, the Famicom, the C64, the Model M, the Saturn, and the XBox.
It's what they do best
It might just be the photo but the keyboard looks a bit bright for the key markings here:
If they made it in atomic purple, I'd have to buy one.
As someone who did love the original Xbox, I find this ugly. that's just my opinion and I'm sure some people will love it, although are there really that many people who love Xbox this much? The person who wrote the article seemed to be a big fan.
MF's be loving fusion frenzy
It's the playstations and Nintendos that always had a worthwhile ascetic. The kind of line and color that would be attractive next to a DVD player or Stereo receiver.
The Microsoft consoles meanwhile seemed to stick to that anti-ascetic popular with juvenile-boy coded gross-out toys. And this keyboard leans into that hard.
8bitdo also has Nintendo and Sega style keyboards.
I have NES - version of this keyboard and I love it. Very tactile response that makes it pleasing to type on. I will say though that I don't like the look of this keyboard. The keys look too translucent to actually server a purpose if there is backlighting. I wish they had done a little more to actually differentiate this from the obvious NES/Famicom versions. Like, it made sense to have Big A and B buttons because those were the only buttons on the controller. The xbox had so many button though that just having A and B buttons seems meaningless. I will say if you can wait, I'm sure this keyboard will go down in price. I got my NES version for like $60 or something like that.
This is awesome. I couldn't find any info on it but how many pins are the hotswap keys?
Still waiting for the ISO version!
