Because I have to justify my 4k player. Which I bought to justify my 4k tv. Both of which I used to justify buying a new receiver

Yeah but that comes with storage and power costs. I would love a Plex server set up that sounds amazing but it's much easier for me to keep a stack of discs around

You can burn optical media. Blu ray equipment is expensive, but it costs less than an extensive library acquired legally.

This is me right now.
I'm deciding whether to buy the £250 UHD player, and £400 receiver to justify the TV, despite the perfectly good HD player and receiver sat under the TV.
