I have a lot of vivid dreams, ranging from mad-dash musical romps through New York with a choir of choreographed nuns singing a song I've never heard before to epic space battles on a ship where in a laser sword battle I kill a knock off Vader that turns out to be my cousin.

My most memorable dreams are these:

1: First repeating dream:

In this dream I am standing naked on a platform hanging in infinite darkness. Leading away from that platform is a single silvery wire. I know I am supposed to tightrope walk across this to get away.

In the background, beyond vision, dozens of shadowy judges watch my every move.

I take my first step onto the wire. I take my second, and miss, and thanks to my failure I fall into the infinite darkness.

I hit the ground and in real life my body convulses, waking me from the dream.

2: 9/11 dream

This was a one-shot. On 9/11 my brother had his alarm clock set to the news. That morning I dreamed that cat aliens had crashed their flying saucer into the twin towers. I was there for some reason and the aliens asked me to help them get back before the various three-letter agencies catches them, which I agree.

To help us get there faster, I am given rocket skates and we zip through the streets of New York, (Always uphill for some reason, but the sparks and flames from the skates made it look really cool) as we attempt to get them back to the ship.

I woke up before the dream ended.

3: My most repeating dream:

I have a dream town. It's a rural town, with acres between each of the buildings. It's always morning in the late-spring here, beautiful countryside town with white buildings and smiling people, green, rolling hills and wooden fences.

I am in an old style 1950's Chevy (with all the curves and wooden slats on the bed) light blue pickup truck driving sedately through the town, waving at my friends and associates who always smile and wave back.

Sometimes I see new buildings I've never seen before, or meet someone I've never met before, sometimes I am asked to fix things or to deliver vegetables for one of the farms, but everything is calm and beautiful and joyous in a way that doesn't seem to exist in the real world. I'm always both happy and sad when I wake from these dreams.

4: Scary repeating dream:

This dream takes place in an area that seems like my dream town above, but it's always trapped within the lawn of this scary house, which is my house, and it has many rooms and floors. It looks like a church from the outside, but not well maintained with chipping white paint and enough slightly rotted wood that anyone who lived there would say, "It's time for me to replace these boards and re-paint this place".

The house seems to be about two or three stories but it has a steeple, almost as if there is a full church build on top of a 1940s military town "four walls and a roof" style home.

I go into the house and the first and second floors are normal, but when you are on the stairs, there is a floor that can't be reached up a long empty vertical chute, and that floor gives off bad vibes. Halfway up is a door with no stairs attached to it.

This door is always closed, and even if you shine a flashlight on it it stays dark.

Every time this house is in my dream, I am curious to explore what is behind the door, so I crawl up or get a ladder and somehow reach the door.

Approaching the door fills me with dread, as if something evil lurks there, and my heart beats harder and harder and I feel more terrified the closer I get to the door, as though something purely evil is watching my every breath with delicious anticipation.

Eventually the terror and pressure is too much for me and I wake up in a cold sweat.

Every time I have that dream it fucks with me for a few days. I don't get scared at scary movies or startle easily, but that dream gets to me every time.

So yeah, sorry for the dump, I just have a lot of strong dreams that I remember.

I was playing with a magical lamp in the old volkswagen getting rusty in my grandma's yard. When, surprisingly, the whole car turned into sand and I drowned.

Had this dream when I was 6 or 7 years old. For some reason, I think about it every so often.

We were eight years old, my cousins and I were back at my grandparents’ house—its sprawling, shadowed rooms and thick air somehow even older than I remembered. The house creaked as though it was breathing with us, a hushed whisper at every step, and it felt like the walls held secrets of their own, watching and waiting.

We’d been sent upstairs to bring down the old mattresses, dusty and abandoned like the rooms around them. This part of the house had been empty for years, left behind after my uncle moved overseas. We always joked about how “someone else” must be living up there now, but tonight, in the silent dark, it didn’t seem funny.

With no power and no light but the thin, eerie beams that crawled through the grimy windows, we fumbled our way up the staircase, barely able to see each other. The air grew colder, thicker, the smell of dust and something sour filling our noses. Each step made a hollow sound beneath us, muffled as if the house were swallowing our every move.

As we reached the landing, a faint light beckoned from behind a tall, faded curtain in the corner. We had no other source of light, so I stepped forward, curiosity pulling me closer despite a growing feeling of dread. The curtain felt cold and brittle under my fingers as I slowly drew it aside, letting the pale, sickly light bleed into the room.

And there she was—a hunched figure, almost blending into the shadows at first, but her eyes glinted sharp and bright, fixed right on me. The woman’s face twisted into a smile so wide it almost tore her skin, a chilling smile that seemed to curve too high, too deep. Her hands hovered over an ancient blender in front of her, its glass jar fogged, the base coated in grime. She held something alive in her hand—a lizard, its tiny claws scraping desperately as she held it above the blender.

Without breaking her gaze, she dropped it in, a sickening thud echoing as it hit the bottom. She didn’t stop there. Slowly, with an unnatural ease, she raised her other hand to her mouth, her crooked fingers disappearing into her lips. When they emerged, they held a slimy, wriggling frog that she yanked out of her mouth as if pulling something rooted deep within her. Her fingers slick and glistening, she shoved the struggling creature into the blender, forcing it down as it squirmed. Her eyes never left mine, that smile still stretching, her mouth a dark, hungry pit.

I froze. Every muscle locked in place, my breath lodged in my throat, while she reached for the blender switch. And as her finger hovered over it, the smile widened further, stretching and tearing into my mind, imprinting itself there.

And then I woke up.

I'm just copy pasting this here. It was a real dream but I wrote this a long time ago and its quite.... heightened as I was trying to get the emotions through. Its also terribly cliche writing, I promise I'm a better writer this was just a quick write up long ago. (I read a lot of RL Stine as a kid can ya tell?)

That was terrifying! I don't think I'll be able to sleep now, that lady is probably gonna visit me in my dreams. The writing was really good in my opinion

Well I hope you get a better smoothie than i do.

I think I wrote this at school for some English assignment?

None of my dreams are that memorable but they all basically take place in the same fictional world. Like I can navigate it, map it out, etc.

Two nightmares from when I was a child:

  1. Earth is suddenly in orbit around Jupiter and it's filling the sky, everything is bathed in Jupoter-shine light.
  2. Earth is visited by human-sized black amorphous blobs that just appear and disappear at random, destroy anything they intersect with, instill abject terror in anyone who sees them.

I dreamt about falling for an acquaintance in my life, getting married to them, being forcibly separated, and watching them die alone.

That was a dream I had about fifteen years ago, and I still think about the dream and the acquaintance every once in a while.

I didn't even really know the acquaintance very well and was not especially attracted to them.

Probably the invasion of our civilization by an army of some rock-like anthropomorphic civilization. They were intelligent and very hard to hurt. Even if I dreamed them as a child, I still remember their faces and big heads with those cat eyes. They were never alone and sized like robust basketball players.

Dreaming that a gigantic dam breaking and expecting the wave to reach and crush my whole neighborhood. As I could see it coming, from inside, I realized I was in a nightmare and just forced myself to wake up. Struggling really hard to open my eyes In a bit of panic to make it before the wave hits. Pop my eyes finally open, I'm in my bed, in my room. Awake. There are four freaking aliens around my bed! , the classic grey with shiny black eyes in a aluminum suits. They're studying me and are surprised by my waking up. Took me what felt like another 3 seconds widening my eyes as hard as I could to finally really wake up. Scariest a shtt ever.

Once dreamed I was a D-Class. They gave me a fully functional Absolute Exclusion Harness from SCP-5000 and made me look at a picture of SCP-096. For shits and giggles I suppose.

Then I had to evade it's pursuit.....It didn't work. He found me immediately. And he ate me. Whole.

I don't remember the actual dream anymore bc I was little but ever since I haven't been sure wether this is all real or not

i found a talking pickle and spent the whole dream trying showcase its ability. everyone ignored me or just didn’t seem to care.

I kept the pickle in my shirt pocket and unfortunately there was no wisdom spoken, just ordinary pickle talk :/
