Fitted out as a one bed / studio this would sell in the low end of £200-300k If you're a property developer 30k for the land actually seems cheap.

(Streatham Rail is about 25 mins from the city of London)

Yeah it's actually suspiciously cheap.

I suspect like many basements it doesn't have full head height. Probably requires excavation + foundation work etc.

I suspect that they are not allowed to turn it into a home due to daylight and ventilation requirements. It certainly can't be rented out. So instead they sell it as a basement, and let the owner fix it themselves. Meaning that the property develop just got 30k for an otherwise useless basement.

It has stairs AND door frames, seems like a bargain to me

Welcome to this unique basement space. The asking price for this is £30,000, presenting an excellent investment opportunity in a sought-after location.

The versatile layout is an ideal blank canvas for personalization.

Fucking hell...

At least the photos are pretty representative on this one, the clearly LLM written description is an absolute piss take.

Oh, and the 2.5k admin fee!

Also, surely a basement below a house cannot be a freehold?

They really had the gall to mention the benefits for families moving in.

[–] thr0w4w4y2@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 month ago

…and a day later it’s sold, probably for above asking price as well

You could easily convert that into two apartments!

the closest railway stations, Streatham, Streatham Common, and Streatham Hill,

So it's in Streatham then.

So if I move in I can just rip out all that unsightly wiring? Great!

It puts the lotion on its skin...

What's wrong with it?

Oh nothing... [pulls door off of frame]... I'm just not sure about the color.

Easy access to Elizabeth Oliveira Hair Xtensions withThe Dools London. Totally worth the asking price just for that if you ask me!
