Price for a much bigger Fiat 600 hybrid is 24k EUR, a Fiat 500e is 30k. You get less range, less space and at current electricity prices you pay more if you charge at home than you would with a if paid for gas for the 600.

Why would anybody want that?! If they were 20k it might be interesting but they want 200% profit margins just because EV and then act surprised nobody wants it. Fuck them.

Is the demand low, or were the expectations unrealistic?
Nobody likes to blame their own estimates I guess.

Demand for an electric Fiat 500 is massive. I hate them but fuck me that's a unique car and perfect for the European market

Demand for a Fiat 500 at that fuckin price however, is very, very low

Maybe they could cut the price by 66% and market it as a golf cart.

I want a fiat 500 sized EV, but it costs $50k in Aus. That's $5k more than an BYD Atto3. Also, never even heard of the 500e, so they haven't really marketed it very well.

And yet, just across the ditch ..

$35k in NZ for the base electric model: https://www.fiat.co.nz/en/offers/500e.html

And Facebook & Instagram were plastered with ads for the 500e last time I visited.

That's a wild price difference. Its like they don't want to sell them here.

It's a cute lovely car that would be very useful, but too damn expensive.

Was there ever any real demand for any 500?
