It's fucking impressive when you get MTG to try and walk back your statement.

I'm about the whitest dude ever and on my best days my house smells like curry too.... And garlic naan.

Mmm... BRB... need to make an order.

If you have an instant pot or pressure cooker, I highly recommend the book Indian instant pot by Urvashi Pitre. The Korma and the aloo ghobi were both great to eat. (Some day I'll make more from the book)

Edit: shit, politics sub, uh, remember to vote!

Nothing against Indian curry, but my JAM is Massaman Curry (or Mussaman Curry depending on the restaurant).

That sounds delicious. A ba'hai family I knew turned me on to Persian dry rub, I enjoy it on lamb, especially.

Politics, um they disgust me.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Ba'hai know how to cook... ditto Sikhs. But I give the edge to Sikhs for their fabulous turbans and mustaches. ;)

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 9 points 1 month ago

It blows my mind Nikki Haley hails from Sikh family.

[–] comador@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

Related: Decades ago this white American lived in Crawley, England. I used to eat at this place called MurrayCurrays in downtown Crawley (they retired and closed a decade ago) where a Sikh man and an Italian British woman ran one of the best tasting crossover menus I had ever seen. Stuff like:

  • Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza
  • Lamb and Chicken Tinga Calzone
  • Italian Sausage Dum Biryani

Some ideas for you to consider along with remembering to vote!

I'm looking for a good Thai curry book, though that's harder, three people, three different curries. I let the wife and kid work on the fresh rolls and Rangoon.

(I assumed indian food from the naan)

[–] frunch@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

One of my favorites too!! I often get that when i hit the local Thai spots.

[–] Today@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Can you send an order to my house, please?

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I love naan, especially garlic naan.

On point, is Marge's mask slipping? Maybe she's not that nuts and is tired of playing a role. Was she one of the politicians that was a client of an actors ' agency? Can't remember.

[–] Today@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Oh no, she's full on.

[–] Chocrates@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

An Indian place near me makes a chana saag that is amazing. Garlic naan and some of that and it's a good night.

Guess I know what's for dinner tomorrow.

[–] qprimed@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

this thread. this thread is... heartwarming! immagonnacry!

[–] EABOD25@lemm.ee 31 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

I don't know what game she's trying to play, but it's definitely a game

[–] spankmonkey@lemmy.world 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The gane is deflection, because Loomer's post absolutely represents Trump's racism. The man just promoted a racist pet eating myth during a debate.

[–] RattlerSix@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

I mentioned in another thread that Loomer's racist tweet was on Sept 8. Loomer was on Trump's plane when he arrived for the debate on the 10th and he invited her to be his guest at the 9/11 memorial on the 11th. So yeah, he doesn't mind one bit. It's probably why she's getting to hang out with him.

We died in 2020 and this is actually hell.

[–] Cadeillac@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm hoping the timeline is correcting itself

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

We owe it to Deadpool and Wolverine.

[–] WindyRebel@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

And an educated wish

[–] ThePantser@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

Careful with that gif, you are getting Trump and JD hungry

[–] kikutwo@lemmy.world 19 points 1 month ago

You know what, I just realized that I haven't thought of or seen this fucking ghoul for weeks. This is definitely designed by her to get back in the headlines.

[–] ptz@dubvee.org 16 points 1 month ago

"Hey! I was gonna say that!"

--MTG, probably.

[–] Doolbs@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago

Very surprised Pikachu face.

[–] chronicledmonocle@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

You know you're an absolutely shit person when even MTG is like "woah, that's too far". I didn't even know she had a line to cross because of how batshit crazy she is.

[–] EleventhHour@lemmy.world 8 points 1 month ago

This is how bad Trump‘s debate performance was. Even this hag is arguing against the shit he said.

[–] GlendatheGayWitch@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So there actually is a line that she claims to not cross!

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Naw.

This has mad “she got dumped” angry vibes.

[–] morphballganon@lemmynsfw.com 6 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I see a bunch of comments naïvely assuming MTG wrote the post herself, which is obviously incorrect. They have staff.

"Put out a post saying Loomer is a dumb bitch, but make it sound, you know" is probably what she said herself.

[–] 58008@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Laura complains about people eating curry, meanwhile she's evidently eating handfuls of live bees every day.

[–] Rapidcreek@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago

Let.Them.Fight

[–] roguetrick@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Hindutva are usually Republican allies, but this shit will make them go nuts. I'm here for it and hope it gets amplified.

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Clearly, the only solution is a cage match. No holds barred.

[–] flyingjake@lemmy.one 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Should be no hold sparred, they just hit each other, no holds

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

I had to go look up the expression because you made me doubt myself. But yeah it is "no holds barred". If you're making a reference or joke I missed it
