“We have the flight records of the helicopter,” Mr. Trump insisted Friday, saying the helicopter had landed “in a field,” and indicating that he intended to release the flight records, before shouting that he was “probably going to sue” over the Times article.

The best part of the whole story was Trump’s response after the NYTimes asked to see the records of the alleged incident:

When asked to see the records, Trump responded mockingly, in a sing-song, childlike voice, repeating the question

Nothing I believe more than a person who claims to have evidence, threatens to release it, and then never releases it while still claiming to have it.

Suuuuuuper believable.

It's literally the exact same thing as we all heard someone growing say their "girlfriend" just goes to a different school. So of course no one would know her.

I had a friend like this. Funny thing is....this was high school. Some of us had cars. She only supposedly lived two cities over. I could have taken him to her house or picked them up any time they wanted. But there was always an excuse. She has to work. Got grounded at home. There was always something.

People didn't believe him for long, but he kept trying to convince us of her existence for months. Nobody in our circle ever met her.

When I was 17 I got drunk at a concert and met and eventually hooked up with some girl who went to a rival high school of ours.

The next day I didn't even really remember her name and thought nothing of it because not much happened (just making out and mutual groping, we were at a concert).

A few weeks later another friend comes up to me and is like "wait, you're dating Mary from [rival school]" and I'm like "who the hell is that?"

"She's been telling everyone in her school that's she's dating you."

I was the boyfriend in another school that you wouldn't know. Problem is that the cousin of one of her friends was my friend and did know me.

Yeah do we have a list of how many times trump has done this?

[–] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 57 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Here's the best part.

Trump DID ride in a helicopter that nearly crashed, but it was Nate Holden, not Willie Brown who was with him. Trump just can't tell black people apart.

He's also 80. Old people get shit mixed up all of the time.

Which is why they shouldn't be running countries.

[–] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 35 points 3 months ago

He's also a racist piece of shit. Racist pieces of shit get black people confused all of the time.

That's not even in the top 10 reasons why a racist piece of shit like Donald Trump shouldn't be running anything.

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 14 points 3 months ago (1 children)

The problem isn't that he got mixed up. That happens to everyone. The problem is that he won't admit it and keeps doubling down on it.

But it's Trump. Did you ever expect anything else?

[–] jeffw@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Ok but they should get mixed up on “who was that Black kid in Apocalypse Now, Laurence Fishsurne or Samuel L Jackson?” Not “who was that Black man I almost died with?”

[–] BossDj@lemm.ee 4 points 3 months ago

And "which one was it again?" is much different from "Samuel Jackson was in the Matrix. I remember. I have proof that I won't share. I'm gonna sue you saying otherwise."

Like when he mistook one of his rape victims in a photo and thought it was his wife

[–] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

This was after he said, in his own defense, that he couldn't have raped her because he wasn't attracted to her sexaully because she wasn't his type.

Maybe they "turned black" just for the crash?

[–] Spacebar@lemmy.world 54 points 3 months ago

He did the same bit in Season 1. Trump needs new writers.

Please do. It's going to be great seeing that child like sing song voice and the alleged participants statements in discovery.

The evidence is saved on Hunter Biden's laptop

They deserve each other. Like Disney and Desantis.
