Reminds me of Buck Angel telling transphobes he'd have to use the bathroom with their daughters if he were forced to use the one that corresponded with his sex at birth.

[–] yuri@pawb.social 71 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

~~what a fucking king~~

e: nah this fool supports conversion therapy amoung other things, friendship ended with BUCK ANGEL

[–] zarkanian@sh.itjust.works 55 points 3 months ago (1 children)

I imagine the transphobes just start twitching and smoke comes out their ears while they go "DOES NOT COMPUTE... DOES NOT COMPUTE..."

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 61 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They tend to focus on MTF and forget that there are FTM's as well.

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 34 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Men against trans people always seem to me like they're upset about men leaving the man team to join the women team. But women joining the men team is fine, because they really like men more than women.

[–] obre@lemmy.world 42 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I get the sense that they're attracted to (some) trans women and uncomfortable about it and what they think it means about their sexuality.

[–] MystikIncarnate@lemmy.ca 25 points 3 months ago

For any person who is in the described situation: if you find someone attractive who happens to be MTF trans, then it doesn't really say anything about you, if you're a straight/cis man. The individual is intentionally trying to pass as female (because that's what's comfortable/appropriate for them) and you "fell for it", or more appropriately, you were convinced by it. They succeeded in their efforts to present themselves as female. That's it.

When you find out that, maybe they had a penis, or perhaps they still do, and that's a turn off for you, it changes nothing about who you are or what you like. This is what we like to call a "sexual preference". Your sexual preference is entirely your choice. Whatever you like in a partner is your preference. The reasons why you like that in a partner, may be bigoted, but simply having a preference does not, and should not, say anything about you or what you stand for.

You like what you like.

How you react when you "find out the truth" will absolutely speak volumes about your character.

[–] stiephelando@discuss.tchncs.de 9 points 3 months ago

I think you both have a point. It's a sad state of affairs.

This really does get at the hypocrisy at the heart of these attempts to dictate which bathrooms people are permitted to use. "No, I don't want them using that bathroom either. I don't want that person or people like that person to be allowed to exist at all."

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

"Perhaps we could concentrate them in camps."

[–] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 99 points 3 months ago (2 children)

so when a trans girl doesn't pass as a girl they tell her they'll never be a girl but when a trans guy is absolutely not passing as a girl in any possible way they are a girl?? make it make sense.

[–] abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone 65 points 3 months ago (3 children)

to be fair, when a transgirl passes, transphobes will say they'll never be a woman and look like a man. Hell, transphobes will do that to cispeople in general because they hate anyone who doesn't fit exactly into their mold. There's even whole transvestigation groups that claim certain celebrities are trans because of slight features of how they look.

Literally saw a transvestigation post claiming Andre the Giant was trans.

[–] Theharpyeagle@lemmy.world 28 points 3 months ago (1 children)

"Michael Obama" jokes were a thing long before conservatives had trans people on their radar. No safety in being cis, or different in any way at all.

[–] FakeGreekGirl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 3 months ago

Too many of them weren't joking. That was a rather popular conspiracy theory during the Obama years; that Michelle is trans (or, to hear them tell it, "really a man") and their daughters are actors.

[–] A_Very_Big_Fan@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

One time my friend told me they could always tell trans women and cis women apart, so I showed him a picture of Molly Ringwald in Breakfast Club and he guessed "trans" lmao.

He claimed it didn't prove anything because I tricked him.

Because "woman" is treated as a political stance rather than a deeply complex id between society, biology, and the self.

When they ask you to define "woman", don't give them a biological answer. Give them a political answer; a woman is someone who identifies as a woman and faces similar forms of oppression.

Once I noticed the Superman curl, I couldn’t stop looking at it.

[–] abbiistabbii@lemmy.blahaj.zone 70 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Fucker looks like the Chad meme face IRL and they're saying they're a woman lol

[–] Klear@lemmy.world 32 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Oh. I didn't even realise the comment was aimed at him. My interpretation was that he's talking to an actual little girl trying to act like a grownup or something.

[–] todd_bonzalez@lemm.ee 16 points 3 months ago
[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 54 points 3 months ago (1 children)

And these same people will call a cis woman a man or tranny just because she has wide shoulders and a square jaw.

[–] A_Very_Big_Fan@lemmy.world 21 points 3 months ago (1 children)

It's worse than that. One of my conservative friends (I know, but it's practically the only variety of people around here) told me he could always tell whether or not someone was trans... I showed him a picture of Molly Ringwald in Breakfast Club and he said "trans" lol.

But of course he felt like it didn't count, because I "tricked" him. 🙄

[–] BruceTwarzen@lemm.ee 10 points 3 months ago

I always wonder why they care so much. My ex-girlfriend was really transphobic, and i didn't even know, because it never really came up. One day we were grocery shopping and she pointed at some dude and asked me if i think she's a "tranny". I was really confused and didn't even look and said i really don't care. A few weeks later we went to a concert and she pointed at a guy with long hair and said: "that guy is 100% a woman". I said: "who gives a shit, maybe?" She just kept poking. "Does she think we don't know?" I got so angry and told her to shut up, he's just trying to live his life. Then she started a huge fight saying that i'm siding with other people instead of her.

Braindead Transphobe: "yOuR sTiLL a gRiL"

Absolutely Monstrous Slab of Beef Who Literally Looks Like A More Jacked Version of The Mountain From Game of Thrones: "Cool story bro"

[–] BruceTwarzen@lemm.ee 13 points 3 months ago

I think most transphobe people don't even realise that it's not just men with makeup. They don't want a dangerous men with makeup in a women's bathroom, which seems to be the only narrative they have. What do they do when some hairy beefcake goes to the women's bathroom, because he also used to be a woman? Is that what they want?

If I had to guess, I would say a transphobic reply to a ftm. Guy in the picture is the ftm and looks like one of the manliest mans that ever manned.

[–] BleatingZombie@lemmy.world 121 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Dude could chop a tree down with another tree

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 66 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Why chop it, bro can suplex it out of the ground

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 15 points 3 months ago

flex and the tree runs away in fright

[–] GreatTitEnthusiast@mander.xyz 63 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I think the dude in the pic is trans masc

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 91 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (3 children)

He should join women's sporting events whenever someone complains that a trans woman is competing among other women

[–] Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 37 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

This actually happened to a trans guy wrestler in high school who wasn’t allowed on the boy’s team and the right wing trans panic machine just called him a trans woman instead 🙃

[–] ShinkanTrain@lemmy.ml 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)
[–] Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 15 points 3 months ago

Not that losing would have stopped the nonsense, but IIRC yeah he did pretty well in his matches.

[–] totally_notAcat@lemmy.blahaj.zone 25 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

He probably wouldn’t be allowed due to T levels

[–] Wilzax@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago (1 children)

So what I'm hearing is that trans men are too powerful to compete in any sport

[–] garbagebagel@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

Hey, I'm here for an all trans masc superhero league

https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/sorry-miss-you-are-still-a-girl-no-matter-wat-u-do

On February 27th, 2024, TikToker[1] @thegravelbro, aka Leo Macallan, posted a video response to a commenter who wrote, "Sorry miss you are still a girl no matter wat u do." The comment is meant to insult Macallan, who is a trans man. Macallan responds, "Imagine seeing me in public and calling me 'miss.' Who looks more mentally unstable, me or you?" He then winks and leaves the video on a still of himself with crossed arms for 50 seconds (shown below). The video gained over 1.1 million views in six days.

Sorry it’s a stolen meme, don’t remember from where

I took it as a criticism of people who insist on misgendering someone.

Edit and to add to this, some trans fems and drag queens are so feminine, that bigot women would look less feminine in comparison. So I took this meme as a criticism of unnecessary gendering.

No one needs to look a certain way or be attractive or whatever, but misgendering is just unnecessary and unacceptable.

[–] Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org 33 points 3 months ago

Transphobes are fucking delusional lmao

[–] MeDuViNoX@sh.itjust.works 30 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Where do I find the operation to transition into not being human anymore?

[–] nifty@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

I know, I know sigh

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 months ago

As a transhumanist I've wanted to do that for a long time. The way I see it, how well accepted trans people are today will set a social precedent. The same bioconservatives misgendering today will tell us that we're not people tomorrow.

[–] Shou@lemmy.world 27 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Why do so many men insist on calling women, girls? From hence this infantilization? Is he afraid of adults?

The reply should be:
"You say that because you have bigger beer tits that your hentai waifu neckbeard?"

[–] LowleeKun@feddit.org 8 points 3 months ago

Hey man, hentai loving people are not transphobes by defualt. Also nothing wrong with my beer tits.

Also: Transphobes suck and should be either ignored or shamed.
