In japan they put the handwashing sink on the back of the toilet. It's smaller, smarter, and doesn't look weird and gross like this.
Then they brush their teeth in a different room so their toothbrush isn't two feet from their shit.
Funny enough that's how most jail/prison toilets are in the US too.
Using the water from handwashing to fill the cistern just makes sense.
Combined toilet-sinks are a thing. It saves water by reusing the water you used to wash your hands to flush the toilet.
Is no one going to talk about how small of a target that is? Cause I feel like my kids would piss everywhere except the bowl.

Ok but, surely it would be too tempting to anyone witb a penis to pee up the side of that sink and watch it flow down to the toilet <_<... Right?
First thought is that this is photoshopped, because the image shows one of the main problems right there with stuff slipping off the sink into the toilet. From a design position, it seems this might be desirable to keep pee from going between the toilet and sink? But then what about the other side? It doesn't make sense. Then we get to the maintenance nightmare... sometimes they have to remove the toilet to get at the drain, and sometimes you want to upgrade or have to replace your toilet. A better idea would be a removable after-market item that provides the slope.
Can't wait to accidentally knock my phone into the toilet! At least it will be a fun ride
