Really sad to see more attacks like this happening in places that are usually accepting. I used to go to this pub and know people who still do go there, it must be so weird for them going to the MET for help when all the reports show them as institutionally homophobic, racist and sexist. What's it like where you are?

What race are the attackers? I swear with the increasing of middle easters in west europe, the attacks to LGBT members have increased.

Here in germany the attacks to members of the LGBT community have increased as well. Cities that were safe spaces like Berlin have now areas (of middle easters) that are a no go for LGBT.

It is really heart breaking.

They don't know who did the attack and there is no word on their race in the paper. To be honest I've not seen this correlation myself and it sounds a bit racist.

Just speaking for the UK. There have been an increase in attacks against LGBT+ people and there has also been an increase in refugees and asylum seekers from the middle east, africa and other areas. There's also been an increase in right wing populism based on fears about refugees and asylum seekers as well as trans people and all LGBT+ people. All the people I've seen and heard of attacking minority communities here are british born and mostly white.

I'm sorry to hear that you have places in Berlin that don't feel safe though. That's not acceptable in European cities in my opinion.
