IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE

"BUT TRUMP WOULD DO (X Genocides)+1" WAS A FUCKING JOKE THAT I SAW SOMEBODY MAKE HERE

AND NOW THEY'RE JUST SAYING IT

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 63 points 5 months ago

lathe-of-heaven

I keep telling all of you not to make lathable moments

[–] ExotiqueMatter@lemmygrad.ml 31 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

Deeply unserious. 🗡️

[–] EpicKebabEater@hexbear.net 25 points 5 months ago

I have had someone unironically tell me that before it was a joke on here. Average USian mind never fails to disappoint.

[–] NewLeaf@hexbear.net 7 points 5 months ago

It started as a way to mock people that said this kind of stuff already.

Headline:"Biden shakes hand with a ghost"

Libs: drumf would have shook hands with TWO ghosts!

Running shit candidates led to right wing hegemony so our takeaway is lets run another shit candidate

The party cannot fail, it can only be failed.

[–] Goferking0@ttrpg.network 45 points 5 months ago (1 children)

why won't they stop questioning our terrible decisions and just fall in line like those dumb Republicans

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 4 points 5 months ago

Which is doubly duplicitous because the era of “Republican leaders get their party to fall in line, Democrat leaders have to herd cats” ended long ago. These days, it’s the Republicans who can be disruptive and undermine leadership and get rewarded for it, while it’s the Democrat leadership has an iron grip on the party.

Al Gore

The 2000 election was stolen from him partly due to the actions of Dubya's brother, who was governor of Florida at the time. Jeb stopped the count right when ballots that were from counties favorable to Gore started to come. And this is not even getting into the Supreme Court's role in handling the presidency to Dubya.

It has nothing to do "voter apathy" or anything related to Gore really (outside of him capitulating and taken the blatant theft like a complete chump). The 2000 election was a fraud election. "Uh aktually we have to vote enough that the GOP can't have room to steal the election" is loser shit, which is why blue MAGA has to pretend the 2000 election was legitimate like the pathetic losers they are. At least red MAGA has it in them to say that the 2020 election was stolen while blue MAGA can't even question the legitimacy of the 2000 election results.

If the democrats gave a shit at all about democracy they should have been calling this a coup and arresting Bush. Same shit they should have done after the capital riots. But they don't actually give a shit about democracy, so they didn't bother doing anything.

Instead they charge Trump with lying about giving money to a prostitute. Like who gives a shit. Liberals love to call him "convicted felon" as if that's the worst thing someone can be (oh no, a minor crime! How terrible). Obviously they can't call him a war criminal for funding drone strikes in Yemen or killing Soleimani, because they approve of that.

Brooks Brothers Riot

[–] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 54 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (4 children)

I can't even. True, the genocide is old, THAT SHOULD BE THE MOST HORRIBLE THING YOU EVER READ DIPSHITS NOT A GOTCHA ELECTION SLOGANS FOR YOUR HITLER.

Reading that thread, i remember thinking how bernie bros are the mildest vague socdems in history of the world, but since then the rest of usian libs moved so far right they look like turbocommies in comparison.

[–] ExotiqueMatter@lemmygrad.ml 46 points 5 months ago

stalin chad "Supporting a genocider is immoral"

smuglord "You already said that once before and that somehow makes your point less valid"

[–] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 27 points 5 months ago

Still remember Americans claiming Bernie was “so left it hurts.” Bernie would be considered center-left in my country too to be fair, but he’d be on the more conservative end of the leftist coalition compared to the Communist and DemSoc politicians.

[–] NewLeaf@hexbear.net 11 points 5 months ago (1 children)

The worst thing about the genocide is having to hear about it. It's so last season

[–] Goferking0@ttrpg.network 6 points 5 months ago

That Jim accounts history is just atrocious

[–] JamesConeZone@hexbear.net 53 points 5 months ago (1 children)

People are defending the DNC's actions against Bernie in 2016 in the replies agony-4horsemen

[–] Goferking0@ttrpg.network 39 points 5 months ago

they only said negative things how is that bad?

so then it's fine to say the negatives about Biden?

that's different

[–] jimmyjohnsandwichfive@hexbear.net 50 points 5 months ago (1 children)

why do all the people on lemmyworld suck so much pain

[–] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 41 points 5 months ago (1 children)

TBF there's a bunch of progressives shredding this obvious bullshit with basic democratic electoral memory but there is obviously a concerted effort to shill for Biden on that comm in particular.

[–] GrouchyGrouse@hexbear.net 12 points 5 months ago

It's heartening to see the pushback against the lib apologist shitheads

The liberal one trick pony is a dog-faced-pony-soldier and it's so tiring.

[–] Frank@hexbear.net 46 points 5 months ago

I voted for all those nerfs and got ~~five~~ 9 right wing justices. What did i do wrong? Should I have voted twice?

[–] barrbaric@hexbear.net 40 points 5 months ago (1 children)

If anyone were Russian bots it'd be these people. Can't they see how being so insufferable is only going to lose votes?

[–] Goferking0@ttrpg.network 26 points 5 months ago

They can't consider that as a possibility. And when pointed out it must mean that user is a plant

[–] thelastaxolotl@hexbear.net 40 points 5 months ago (1 children)

"its the lefts fault our decadent neoliberals didnt win" also Iraq and the 2008 recession still would have happen, blue maga live in a fantasy world

[–] adultswim_antifa@hexbear.net 32 points 5 months ago

Clinton repealed Glass-Steagall after supermajorities of democrats in senate and congress voted to repeal it so yes 2008 would have happened.

[–] EpicKebabEater@hexbear.net 40 points 5 months ago (2 children)

Today I learned that voters have to vote for candidates this person likes no matter how shit they are. Only choice is Hitler? My party does not have to 'appeal' to you, go vote for him already you slave.

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 34 points 5 months ago

It's their job to appeal to me

yes-chad

[–] archomrade@midwest.social 10 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Lmao they got a comm ban for 'stalking'

[–] Goferking0@ttrpg.network 7 points 5 months ago

I'm shocked they actually did something about them

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 38 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Yes it's true I don't think it's very likeable to bomb Yugoslavia, sabotage Haiti or have slaves.

[–] BelieveRevolt@hexbear.net 29 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

"Not likeable" "Not exciting" "Too condescending"

How about talking about actual policies instead of superficial vibes? You could even say this is how Bush got popular, since they were able to paint a silver spoon Ivy League failson as a ranch country Texas aw shucks guy who you'd want to have a beer with. Not to mention Trump, a guy who's never worked a real job in his life, as some tough champion of the working class. Fucking liberals.

[–] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 27 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Al Gore let the election get stolen from him. Kerry never stood a chance in 04, W had that one in the bag going in,. 'd rather see Trump in office than Hillary.

[–] cosecantphi@hexbear.net 24 points 5 months ago (2 children)

So fucking close yet so far.

[–] Tom742@hexbear.net 21 points 5 months ago (1 children)

if you really thought our democracy was unsalvageable you’d be training in the woods to shoot immigrants

Dem libs are the exact same as Rep. libs below the thin blue coating.

[–] NewLeaf@hexbear.net 9 points 5 months ago

Yeah, it's a trip that they want people to shoot immigrants, when those in power that are steering us into chaos are right there

[–] TheWurstman@hexbear.net 21 points 5 months ago

Are these people real?

[–] Leon_Frotsky@hexbear.net 11 points 5 months ago

I didn't vote for Al Gore because he tried to destroy Gotham city

[–] infuziSporg@hexbear.net 3 points 5 months ago

Out of the top 10 comments, 8 of them are railing against OP, 1 of them is in agreement, and 1 is doing some weird both-sides where they pretend that changing the voting system is easier to do than electing a third-party candidate.
