DE is a cringe-cop game not a cringe cop-game
Several chars within the game call you out during the comrade cop path. Honestly I think the writer might agree with the prior comment
I'm literally amnestic and a cop who does drugs
And of course, they will never finish any of the games
I think it is a fun thing to do that gets great results in creating a more “atmospheric” and “roleplay” style experience. But the genre as gaming itself is infected with right wing folk, so it boils down to quite a slop in terms of discussion and content. For example bodycam, the newest one, isn’t really “bodycam” but more like a 1st view fisheye with simulation of movement and graphics of one.
What I’m waiting for is more visual, movement, sound focused experience with guns having a lot of non visual AA, like doom had for elevated enemies.
They should just make actual cgi short films and series out of all of this shit.
other Gamer™ genres you should avoid at all cost:
- first person tactical shooter (precursor to the body cam fps)
- full loot pvp
- extraction shooter
- hardcore MMO
I legitimately had a nightmare last night that I started playing WoW and was like "wow this is amazing, beyond anything I've played before, I am going to just play this all the time now"
As a guy who loves extraction shooters, MMOs and FPTS, I’m going to totally agree with that one. The community surrounding the games is filled to the brim with Gamers™
i love MMOs as well but because of the time commitment you either encounter very nice and patient people or the worst incel no life you've ever seen. hardcore and full loot pvp MMOs though are just filled with toxic people, the zero sum psychology of these games doesn't exactly cultivate the best audience.
Also, milsims. Love playing Project Reality/Squad and then have the entire team yell nonsense in mock Arab/asian/russian accents. I haven’t played squad recently, but it got acquired by Tencent I think and they released a PLA DLC, so you can imagine what the servers are like.
hardcore MMO
