Brings me back to that PSP Hacking 101 video of them modding their console to take full sized memory sticks. It's ridiculous how much Sony sold those things for.

i remember buying this for 200 bucks a piece, now i struggle to find a device to read the contents.
For real, to read an original memory stick (not Duo, but the original "gum stick" cards), I use a Sony Cyber-Shot P50 camera connected to my PC via USB because I can't be bothered to find a proper adapter for these, and the read speeds are ATROCIOUS. Like a few megabytes could take several minutes (up to 20 or 30) just to copy it to somewhere safe.
not retro gaming, but Sony Ericsson phones used these basically up until they disappeared
I'm clearing out a house and I ran across an unused adapter from smaller MS to full size MS that came with an old Sony Ericsson stuff.
I hate Sony's proprietary formats, but ngl there's something cool about the Memory Stick.
I have several of those adapters... I don't think they are of any use nowadays lol.
