This is unfortunate. I just hope her career is perma-dead. I could see her trying to stage a Martha Stewart style comeback when she gets out, even though she's not 10% as smart as Stewart.

Honestly the whole doing-your-time-and-kicking-it-with-Snoop has been pretty rehabilitative for ol Martha in my eyes. I don’t follow her or whatever, and she still does right-wing crap now and again, but. Nowhere near the industrial-scale fraud of Holmes.

That said 2032 is still a long way off, especially when you’d just recently decided to have a child as a last-ditch attempt to stay out of prison. I guess the Theranos board are all laughing all the way to the bank tho, aren’t they.

Where is she getting the money to afford these appeal lawyers? Wasn’t she sued until she was broke?

I don't think really rich people ever truly go broke, they just lose all visible cash or assets and have a good stash spread out throughout various other hiding places.

And for whatever reason they can get away with offshore tax havens unlike the rest of us plebs.

Yeah, it’s a mystery.

If the courts can't give people justice, vigilante justice is warranted.

She wasn't found guilty of hurting her poor customers. She was found guilty of stealing from richer people. Keep that in mind.

Life for weed, couple of years for defrauding millions. Justice truly is blind.
