The "recognition" from the UN in 1948 took place when most of Africa was colonized and many of the countries in the global south were essentially bullied into it. So it's all good that the world is on the side of Palestine, but Palestine is more than just the '48 or '67 borders or whatever

Did you know that in South Africa, a great source of shame among the white minority is that there was no retributive violence when apartheid ended? Black people did not go and commit mass murder against their oppressors. The colonial whites really were just uniquely awful in how they treated people, and the almost entirely peaceful dissolution of apartheid continues to weigh on South African whites as a tremendous guilt that repudiates for all time the foundations of their racist political project. The same will happen in israel.
