Let's hope so, Thailand produces an overwhelming majority of the world's rubber and them joining would lock another critically important resource into the BRICS sphere.

TBF This isn't HOI4, natural rubber isn't vital and thr current market (mostly tires) can be replaced with synthetic albeit at higher costs.

No it's like HOI4 where you suddenly couldn't build planes or trucks anymore but is still an important resource none the less. Having to synthetically producing rubber would be painful and costly.
