Help fuel culture wars, get people riled up against minorities to increase engagement, take away helpful features, add shit no one asked for, gate off your community even more so there's less oversight of the your enabling for culture wars. Increase engagement with an increasingly small user base. Who cares if half the site leaves when you can get a fission reactor buzzing non stop about "the children" and percieved phantoms 
and made up boogymen? 
You can then use this hate reactor to direct political campaigns to funnel even more lucrative government contracts, security state aparstus, and tax cuts. This will also have a synergetic effect on other sectors that benifet your major shareholders, of which are also our major shareholders and give generously to our select pedigree of politicans and "government relations" experts.
Yes some people may die, be deprived of life and liberty, but they aren't your major shareholders and you do have a "legal responsibility" to make line go up. Oh it's probably not sustainable no, but that's for the next CEO to figure out before they pull thier lotto winning golden parachute. Think of it as an "exit strategy".
