Please use spoiler tags whenever commenting a spoiler in a non-spoiler thread. Most of the Lemmy clients don't support this but we want to get into the habit as clients will be supporting in the future.

I don't understand the plot, can you please explain?
The goober. The countries want it to control them. Ethan wants it so we can destroy the entity. Why does Gabriel(the entity) want it ?
Why can't the entity nuke Rome when two parts of the key are on Rome(or Venice) and be done with it.
Ona side note,am all knowing entity can't get to its own source code or recreate it ? I have a feeling that the entity wants Ethan to get the key for some unknown reason.
Gabriel's just a nihilist/sadist who likes seeing people suffer I guess. And the Entity recognized that he was good at it and recruited him.
Also I think it's pretty silly that somehow the source code is on a test copy on a Russian sub? Not the lab that they originally made it? Whatever, it's a macguffin.
The entity can't, and probably won't, launch nukes. it's probably more vulnerable than the characters are claiming. It's just that nobody wants to destroy it right now, they all want to control it. If it launched nukes and everyone realizes it's uncontrollable, it's gone.
