Oh no... He's a bad person? I try to avoid learning things about people in show business so I can enjoy some stories, but once I know I can't unlearn it.

AFAIK he just spoke candidly in an interview once about how when he was a youth he got into a racist rage when he found out someone he knew was victim of SA by a black man - his tone was ashamed but people dogpiled on him bc it's possible to read his phrasing in an uncharitable way if you want to.

I def don't have a dog in this fight and don't care about rich actors, but I do get the sense a lot of the attacks are in bad faith.

Not to be the centrist on this one, but I think its possible to acknowledge that he was talking candidly about prior attitudes of his while also acknowledging that he didn't merely discuss having misplaced anger about a sexual assault, but mentioned walking the streets actively looking to do a hate crime. Like we can talk about personal growth or momentary anger and whatever, but he went out with the explicit desire to do a lynching and not even of the person who had done the crime.
