At this point u can run like 80%+ of all games on steam. But yeah if you are a slut for competitive games its not so great.

At this point I'm not sure if crypto miner would consume more resources (and thus have a bigger impact) than denuvo.

You can do both as well. Buy a legit copy to support the studio, and then run the pirated version for performance.
Good point! Though personally, I am much, much less likely to want to support a developer/publisher that forces DRM on me in the official version.
