I agree. It's low key and normalized to hell and back, but killing small animals for no reason is fucked up and bugs are the smallest animals out there. It shouldn't need to be a mammal megafauna that we've domesticated or something that resembles that to deserve to live. What lives or dies shouldn't be based on your ability to anthromorphize something. You don't have to like bugs, I'd advise learning more about em cause they're pretty fucking cool, but you do need to live in peace with them, cause otherwise I do see you as a bloodthirsty toddler.
If the bug started it, then it's fine. There's no non lethal way of solving that. Same with potential infestations or whatever other threats bugs can sometimes cause. That's self defense. Killing all small arthropods just cause that's what they are and it's easy to do is where I've got issues. If there's a threat to you, your food or your domicile, the war is on. Otherwise, leave them alone.
