He was literally a diversity hire

The Rock was more of a nepotism hire as was his initial push as Rocky Maivia. His family had a long history with the WWF. The fans hated him at first for that reason. That's why he turned heel and became the Rock and got over

Nepo hires are good for angles and storylines. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes both had family in the business and both have had story lines involving their family.

No arguement there. More just a correction to saying he was a diversity hire and cause i felt like talking wrestling lol. Family has always been big in the industry since the territory days and probably before
