I don't like this kind of ambition. It can only fail. BG3 was already big enough. Just make a game in similar scope and everything would be fine.
Phrases like:
Are very discouraging. And this easily could become the next Star Citizen.
it's wordplay. the entire game is tiny and is about dwarves.
I disagree. Imagine if people looked at DOOM and said “y’know what? This is good enough, we don’t need to push that envelope.”
And adding tech isn’t inherently bad. They are talking about gaming tech, not blockchain, JavaScript and brainfuck.
They have a proven track record of releasing real games in a timely manner. Where the fuck does your comparison get any merit?
