In case people would like it demonstrated,

0.25/0.5

= 1/4 ÷ 1/2

= 2/4 ÷ 2/2

= 1/2 ÷ 1

A÷1 = A, therefore 0.25/0.5 = 0.5

Alternatively, (a/b)/(c/d) = (a×d)/(b×c)

1/4 ÷ 1/2 = 1×2 ÷ 4×1 = 2/4 = 1/2
