People who refuse to vote for Biden because he's a criminal are not going to vote for another criminal either. Propaganda makes you believe you must pick a side between red and blue, you can vote for a third party or don't give your support to the government at all

If you don't vote you're assenting to whatever the majority decides.

[–] HiddenLychee@lemmy.world 10 points 9 months ago (2 children)

Let's be honest, the majority don't get to decide around these parts

[–] trafficnab@lemmy.ca 0 points 9 months ago

Then in some cases (the Republicans have won the national popular vote once in my lifetime, I'm almost 30) you're assenting to whatever the minority decides, which is even worse

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 4 points 9 months ago (1 children)

And if you vote for red or blue you are supporting a corrupted criminal murderer with blood on his hands

[–] wakumul@lemm.ee 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

you are ascenting to the majority decision if you DO vote

[–] HowManyNimons@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

There's a difference in between being able to say "I voted against this" vs not.

[–] wakumul@lemm.ee 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

if it's wrong, it's wrong no matter how or if i voted

[–] HowManyNimons@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago (1 children)

So do what you can to prevent as much wrongness as you can.

[–] wakumul@lemm.ee 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

i'm not going to vote for joe biden. i'll vote for jill stein or cornel west, but not joe biden.

[–] HowManyNimons@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

GO AHEAD! THROW YOUR VOTE AWAY! AH HA HA HA HA HA!

[–] wakumul@lemm.ee 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

i just said i'd be using it, not throwing it away.

thank you for the context

If you say lava is going to hit a town or a rain storm is going to hit the town, and you vote for another option that has no chance of happening. You are directly responsible for the lava or the rain storm hitting.

So reach your endgame. Either support one or the either. The time has passed for acting like there are other options.

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 3 points 9 months ago (2 children)

The time has passed for acting like there are other options.

Indeed, americans are now faced between voting for a corrupted murderer or another. There are not good options anymore it's time to move forward and do everything it takes to strip red and blue from power.

If you say lava is going to hit a town or a rain storm is going to hit the town

You are not forced to vote for these two party or to vote at all and there are a thousand possible ways to change and improve the system so stop making stupid comparison

[–] anarchost@lemm.ee 0 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Okay, who would you prefer between the two, and what ends have your direct action achieved?

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Who would you prefer between a criminal and a criminal? None of them the world actually works better without criminals in power

[–] anarchost@lemm.ee 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

If you think all criminals are the same, you must be insanely far right.

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

i don't think all criminals are the same, i think all politicians are criminals.

[–] anarchost@lemm.ee 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Then present a better argument. Or you could at least explain why you wanted Russia, China, the US, and the UK to ignore Nazi Germany's expansion during World War II

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago

Then present a better argument.

You can just open the wikipedia page of your favorite politician or the one of the people they associate with.

So you believe you will get the majority of Americans to vote for another candidate, who is it and how? The clock is ticking, especially because the primaries are already underway. Are you going to get a political party created / registered / voters to register for that party (they can't change from the democratic or Republican party if they were already registered/voted at this point more than likely.)

So we need everyone to pick an independent that doesn't exist at this stage. Also please don't say we are going to get someone like Bernie who is the only candidate older than the prehistoric members we are saying are to old

[–] index@sh.itjust.works 0 points 9 months ago

The clock is ticking yes, there's a genocide on its way and WWIII is now a public talk. Do something now before it's too late the choice is still yours
