Based?
I liked the original release more than the current, but mostly becaus the premium squads make me sad. That being said, getting tk shot Nazis in face 100% of the time in a multiplayer game is golden. The Tunisia campaign lets you do it with mostly WW1 tech so with s bit of creativity it’s probably as close as we are gonna get to a Spanish civil war game.
Cheers
If you’re unaware they recently got rid of the campaign system and replaced it with a Battle Rating system and tech tree (I haven’t played war thunder but I think that’s what that game uses). I enjoy playing low tier soviets and allies
That’s saddening, but I like the tier system. I don’t want to be playing against low tier nazi troops mixed with IJA troops while defending Stalingrad.
The nations are still separated so you can only get Japan vs usa in the pacific maps, soviets vs nazis in Stalingrad etc. so it’s not ahistorical in that aspect. That said the brits are part of the us tree and the italians part of the nazis so you can still get italians in Moscow but that’s not that noticeable imo
Edit: and I think after the merge aside from legacy squads there’s only like 2-3 Italian/British squads in the tech tree
That’s better than I’d feared.
