https://cookieandkate.com/quick-vegan-chana-masala/ is where I got the basic recipe. It's delicious and one of my week night staples toss it together in like 30 minutes or so. Usually I'm waiting on my rice cooker to finish off the rice.

Good recipe. The Indian grocer usually has big jars of pre-minced ginger and garlic (or a mix) at a much lower price than typical supermarkets. It’s a good time saver for many recipes (including ones that aren’t Indian!)

(including ones that aren’t Indian!). My stepmom is Chinese and the first time I cooked something for my dad and her she was almost offended if I asked if they had ginger. She was like never ask a Chinese person if they have ginger just ask where's the ginger.
