Why would it be better? I like how it puts some useful information up there. What would be the benefit of going back to black?

I like getting a new phone every year even though it’s objectively a poor way to spend money.I don’t do it every year because sometimes it seems pointless.

I feel like if the 14 Pro>15 is as small as the 14 was a yoy upgrade and they hike the price seems like a wait it out year.

I only got a 14 pro max because the old phone had something wrong with it and when I first saw the Dynamic island I was like eh that’s neat but so what. And when they were talking about live updates people kept coming back to sports scores as what it could do but I don’t really watch much sports so I sort of yawned.

Now that it’s been out for a bit food delivery and running apps have done some nice touches so that I always have quick access to timing information. I’ve wanted them to put Nike Run Club stats on my Lock Screen forever. The other one I love is it tells me how long till my food delivery gets here in Uber.

Anyone else have any apps that this improved quality of life for?

Which is weird considering how the fediverse is paid for at the moment appears to mostly be people paying out of their own pockets.

As far as we know from the sbelter she’s just an American short hair, but she does resemble one. Her littermate sister otoh look’s completely different.

We’ve never done the genetic testing thing because well it’s expensive and we don’t really care enough to spend money on it.

I feel like this is the best money in streaming. I mostly watch you tube, and primarily on the tv and phone in the app. Frankly I would prefer to have much more of the internet paid for with you know money instead of ads and not use a blocker.

You tube music also has a much better algorithmic playlist than Apple Music.

Not going to lie she’s totally a spoiled princess.

You Tube played this for me today. Got to say it struck me as a pretty beautiful song.

This song is growing on me. I first heard it last night, but then the lyric video came back up in my feed and it stuck more the second time.

I’ve only listened to a few of these this year, but the ones I have listened to on here have been great. L I’ve been in the mood for new music lately so I’ve got a lot of suggestions here.

What’s a new album you’ve been jamming out to this year? Outside of last years Taylor and CRJ albums Lana Del Rey’s Did you know there’s a tunnel under ocean Blvd. is probably my most listened to 23 album.

The funny thing is I've kind of gone full circle and I'm back to reading more pop criticism. And I kind of suspect if I just said fuck it and bought CDs and ripped them myself Amazon would do better than any of these streaming services. I get pretty okay book recs from them.

So Apple Music knows all kinds of data about my listening habits. So like I genuinely don’t understand why when I opened the app this morning it wasn’t like hit ok to stream the new Taylor Swift album. I had to like click around for a second. No big deal In the grand scheme of it.

Like I feel like I have pretty predictable tastes I listen to mostly albums by a small number of song writers in a few styles but for some reason it’s very hit and miss and single driven even if that’s not a match for the way I listen to music. IT’s algorithmic radio isn’t bad but for having 20 years of data it seems pretty mediocre.

This inspired me to make a completely different Sesame Tofu for dinner tonight.

[–] andyster@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

It turned out really fucking good for a meal I made wholly by the seat of my pants.

I’m not much of a recipe person but I mixed sesame oil with tamari and about 2 Tablespoon peanut butter. Put on some air fried tofu and snap peas and garlic.

I use outlook on the iPhone and the gmail and outlook websites on my desktop.

Outlook does a good job of presorting my mail so I’m not bombarded with all the read at your leisure emails.

(including ones that aren’t Indian!). My stepmom is Chinese and the first time I cooked something for my dad and her she was almost offended if I asked if they had ginger. She was like never ask a Chinese person if they have ginger just ask where's the ginger.

https://cookieandkate.com/quick-vegan-chana-masala/ is where I got the basic recipe. It's delicious and one of my week night staples toss it together in like 30 minutes or so. Usually I'm waiting on my rice cooker to finish off the rice.
