DuckDuckGo has been harming people's privacy for years now. Ironically in part because it allows Microsoft's ad network through due to their partnership. Luckily there are many other alternatives out there.
Sharing is caring friend; offer some names so that we may benefit from your research.
Apologies, here's some. Also plenty listed on https://alternativeto.net/software/google-search/
Startpage
SearX
Ecosia
Qwant sends data to Bing ads, and didn't tell its users about it for five years.
Yandex is a Russian company with strong government links that I wouldn't trust in any way.
Didn't realize. Removing those.
Ecosia, I've been using it a while now and they plant trees with there profit, I have personally covered the cost of planting 75 trees over the last couple years just be using it instead of Google. They have planted over 175mil trees and they are transparent with there finances.
I'm curious about this... I'm having a hard time finding good info on this...

That comment doesn't even talk about it It only mentions a bunch of alternatives without anything else.
/edit: I guess you thought they meant alternatives. Pretty sure they meant the privacy issue you claimed as fact.
At least that's what I was interested in.
Yep...I'm interested in the specifics of the privacy issues.
