Thanks for that. I've updated the list.
That's a tricky one. As far as I am aware: you can't start a community on an instance you don't have an account on but, I think, you can moderate one.
If the latter is true, then you could post in the above community (starting a thread if one doesn't exist for your needs) and someone will start one and hand it over (gladly as quite a few of us are looking to divest ourselves of some of the communities we've started).
If not, then you'll need an account here. Not a big chore as most apps make it easy to switch accounts. I was tempted to get a lemmy.world one but reckon I have enough on my plate here as it is.
edit: should have checked, and it looks like you are able to mod this community despite your account being on another instance. So it looks like my first suggestion is probably the simplest. Ask and someone will set up a community for you and you can then moderate it but. However, seems you have this sorted now, so... as you were.
Yes, that's what I did (used a bot account I already had to create, then assigned myself mod). However, it hasn't worked, as it's not showing that I'm mod for the community on this server (rabbitrea.rs) even though it does on feddit.uk
It has worked but displaying the fact on your home server may not a feature yet (it might be tricky to do) or it'll take a bit to trickle through. If it hasn't updated in a few days make a post on !lemmy@lemmy.ml and/9r !lemmy@lemmy.world.
It not displaying it doesn't bother me, but I'm not seeing the mod tools. I'll wait and see if it updates!
Ahhh, the mod tools. Yes, give it a few days but I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't enabled that and it'd be worth flagging up.
Turns out unsubscribing and re-subscribing kicks it into life! So I now have mod rights on this account, yay!
That's good to know as it's going to be increasingly common.
