If only speaking from personal experience, many games nowadays have an almost implicit requirement to search up a "before I play" guide or a "beginner recommendations". If nothing else, many people want to Google "missables", to ensure that they can fully experience a game.

What is your recommended game that requires nothing but the player to be in the moment and enjoy the experience?

Games like phasmaphobia or lethal company. The moment those games stop being chaotic and start becoming methodical they immediately lose all the charm they had for me.
