There's so much shit to learn what they could have added from just LOOKING AT WHATS BEEN MODDED IN TO PREVIOUS GAMES.

They won't there aren't enough fans of the game and also the problems aren't superficial there are too many major issues that would be a massive undertaking to fix. The whole game needs remaking and it would essentially be Starfield 2.

I see people say this a lot. But if Bethesda was serious about having modders being the only ones fixing their game, wouldn't they be in constant communication with them? Hell, not only would the creation tools be available day one, they'd probably give them full access to their engine.

So no. They put up the skeleton and let the mods flesh it out.
