Older Dynasty Warriors. Repetitive grindy gameplay loop, terrible graphics, god awful chinese name pronunciations and cheesy voice lines and I love every minute of it.

Holy shit same. We always called their leader yellow jebus. Liu be, guan yu, zhang fe, shuge liang, xiaouhu dun, cao cao. I’m sure I didn’t spell them right but I will never forget these characters. I love when studying history and one of them comes up I’m like holy shit I remember them. Did a good job of teaching me a preposterous telling of that saga.

For me it was rolling up to Hu Lao gate, and hearing the commander say: “Do not pursue Lu Bu.”

Me thinking: do you know who I am? I’m Zhao Yun, annnnd proceed to get killed in 2 hits.
