It wasn’t a lie — it’s just a losing prospect for them at this point.

They fumbled the Series launch and Sony blew the PS5 launch out of the water. The Switch will always do great, and an improved model will only serve to further cement Nintendo’s market share.

There are rumors that Microsoft could spin off Xbox as its own business in the future. Any time you have to spend $100Bn+ to buy IPs because you’re publicly conceding you can’t develop good games yourself…that ain’t a good sign.

If you feel like the console loses any validation by giving rights to other platforms, the console did not deserve that validation in the first place.

This might be a gay marriage quote, but it kind of fits here.
