Honestly I d rather Microsoft pulled a Sega and left the console market to focus on games and gamepads.

Do you want $1000 PS6s? Because that's how you get $1000 PS6s.

Market competition is a good thing.

That will definitely happen, because so many parents are going to buy a $1000 dollar consol for their t year old at Christmas.

How? Nintendo has pretty much always been the only hand held console maker in 4 decades.

They've never been over priced.

Why would the cost of ps6 go up just because Xbox consoles go away?

Nintendo and Sony never put the prices up when Sega went away.

They practically are in the middle of that. If anything their next console will just be a mini pc. No reason to make a stand alone console if everyone is on PC.

Honestly it'd be lovely if they brought the steambox idea back, but really it's probably going to be a locked down PC focused on running games. Which is kind of what a console is already.

Giving Sony a monopoly on the market isn't a good thing man

This is what I'm seeing as well. Someone once said "Micro5oft will try to buy up studios and bring the industry to its knees."

I personally think they tried to do it, but its flopped and people by personal rule alone will never buy an Xbox or play games from them. Most won't see it as a lost by any means

I agree. Look who’ve they’ve bought: A company that hasn’t released a working game in over a decade that is dependent on modders to fix the games after launch, and the second-most hated company in the business.

To be fair, Activision Blizzard is redeemable. They have great IPs and their CEO is stepping down thanks to the purchase, with the advantage over Bethesda in that they actually release titles frequently. I am cautiously optimistic about Activision Blizzard.

Yes because the console market needs less competition...
