"Components pushing into display panel" was the answer for white blobs on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite LTE. Yes, old POS with disaster engineering, had the screen replaced in warranty and white blobs were there again soon.
It's a fail. Big time fail.
We need a reasonable Android phone with clear Android OS and Google is very good at this. Well... was. Please don't mess this thing up, just two big companies having 98% of the market is extremely expensive for users.
They need to bring back GPE/Nexus/Android One
Ya'll acting like Nexus wasnt a fuckin trash heap. Fun fact i probably have the only Nexus 5x that still works - because its using cfw that lets it boot without its main cores - because they all overheated and desoldered themselves from the phone.
I still have my 5X, battery is stuffed and screen is badly cracked but it still works. Same with my 6P that replaced it. Can't seem to make myself throw either out, though...
My partner loved that phone. They broke it like 5 times, and because of the insane google support policy at the time they would just replace it outright.
Amazing phone - worst processor known to man! Snapdragon shit the bed that generation for sure!
The Nexus Tablet swore me off android tablets. Went loco in the head and got a Note 4, then watched them cut support off less then a year later after purchase. Went Apple and never looked back.
It's a shame as the "open" design to Android is nicer then apple, but lack of updates, buggy code and more drove me up the wall.
Friend had a Samsung S22 I had to support, and ugh... I hated that phone. Wanted her to get a Apple and make it easier on her, but too late in the game for her to change ecosystems.
If I had any lingering doubt on being in the Apple ecosystem, that S22 finished it off with it's printer bs and more
What was wrong with the S22? Genuine question, since I couldn't afford one and didn't know anyone who owned it.
I'm European, so our S22 was shit because of the Exynos processor, which meant worse performance and less battery than Chinese gaming phones which cost half the price.
I have an S23 now and it's easily the best phone I ever owned, smooth AF software experience with plenty of features for my power user self.
Yeah my 5x would sleep-wake and get very hot, draining itself to 0% while in my pocket at work. Then it eventually started boot looping.
Yeah, LGs fault. They made the mistake of stacking the memory on top of the CPU and thinking the great generated wouldn't cause problems. The G3, G4 and G5 all had the same problem.
Now LG don't make phones anymore.
My wife has a 4 or 5 years old Moto One Action, with just 4 GB RAM, and it's still a bloody beast of a phone. It works precisely as if it were new. It doesn't get any more Android updates (even though I think it could handle them), but it's the best phone at home even when the rest of us have newer ones.
Nexus 5 still one of the nicest phones I’ve ever owned.
