What is a rug anyway? It seems like every pixel has some sort of weird “don’t worry about it” QC issue.

With the Pixel 2 you mustn't update the camera app because that physically bricks the camera

[–] StarksFTW@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

I had that happen to my pixel 2 dropped that for an iPhone 12 Pro

Huh, I've got the Pixel 2 XL and updated the Camera app with no issue. I guess it's just the normal Pixel 2?

The Pixel 2 XL had a blueish tint to the screen which meant I could get it very cheap but they fixed the issue in a software update.

Still waiting on them to release a new Pixel that doesn't suck. I just want one with a rear fingerprint sensor. Is that so much to ask?

Well, If they made the perfect phone you wouldn't have to buy a new one!

It has: the pixel owners. It's a beta tester program.

This is why I tend to like the "a" models more. They are usually the phones from the previous year with some of the personality ironed out.

At least they were the last time I bought one, but that was a 4a, and I have literally not found a reason to upgrade it to anything since then. I will use it until it dies.

I had to return a Pixel 6 I bought because 5G works only on the region the phone was sold in 🤦 what a load of BS. Even 4G+ wouldn't work!

[–] a7madib@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago

That’s more of a band issue, different regions operate on various frequencies. Buy the phone from your region or make sure it supports the necessary bands on your network before buying.

Google like to hide easter eggs in their products. This is the easter egg this time around

[–] Gregus1032@alien.top 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

If Casetify made phones they would have the same Easter eggs.
