It depends on what detail you're referring to. The identity of Helaran was revealed as early as Words of Radiance I believe
I think the fact he was
Oathbringer
a member of the Skybreakers (no spren though) was revealed in Oathbringer then?
Without getting spoilery, A lot of the core details of him are revealed during Shallans flashbacks and through Taravangian in WoR. A lot of it is a bit more overtly confirmed in Oathbringer if you missed the hints though.
I went to his Coppermind history page for fun and EVERY citations points to a chapter of WoR actually.
