Touch ID is the reason I still use an SE model. I doubt putting the Touch ID under the screen would preserve the reaction speed. Iโ€™ve seen phones with the screen button on the side with incorporated Fingerprint. With the background that iPhones are getting thicker again, this could be an acceptable solution.
