A community for everything related to Palestine and the occupation currently underway by the occupying force known as Israel.

Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Existence is resistance for Palestinians.

Please refer to Israel as Occupied Palestine, or occupied territories. The IDF is a fascist and ethnonationalist occupying force. Israelis are settlers. We understand however that the imperial narrative (which tries to legitimise Israel) is internalised in the imperial core and slip-ups are naturally expected.

We always take the sides of Palestine and Palestinians and are unapologetic about it. Israel is an occupying power whose "defence force"'s (note the contradiction) sole purpose for existing is to push Palestinians out so they can resettle their rightful land. If you have anything positive to say about Israel we do not care.

Does anyone have sources on Israel shooting at their own citizens. I saw something about it on here somewhere but can't find it anymore

His voice broke when he remembered his partner, who was besieged in MMD at the time. According to him, only on Monday night and only after the commanders in the field made difficult decisions - including shelling houses on their occupants in order to eliminate the terrorists without knowing whether the Israelis in those buildings were alive or dead - the IDF L completed the takeover of the kibbutz.

The cost of the Hamas attack was terrible: at least 112 Bari residents were killed. Others were kidnapped. Yesterday, 11 days after the massacre, the bodies of a mother and her son were discovered in one of the destroyed houses. It is believed that more bodies are still lying in the rubble.

There are images of homes in Be'eri etc. in other articles, blown to rubble, razed, and with bullet holes in the walls. Articles published shortly after Oct 7 generally blamed Hamas directly for casualties and didn't talk about fatalities caused by largely indiscriminate attacks by the IDF. After looking at a photographer's Getty Images page (cited by ABC News) I will post links to some images. For some reason, I don't think that this was caused by Hamas.

Apologies, I've been writing so much stuff back to back that I added this source to an article that is not published yet (this Friday).

I went and extracted the source for you https://twitter.com/snarwani/status/1722050147792630190

edit: there is also leaked aerial footage, I'll see if I can find it cause I can use that too (https://twitter.com/Resist_05/status/1722558761121038787)

I was looking into the footage a little more since there are claims that it´s fake. It almost definitely isn't as is laid out here: https://nitter.net/Partisangirl/status/1722527493780021654#m just thought I'd leave this here for you or anyone else in case they're interested. I also figured it may be useful in your writing so yeah

When I first saw the footage of the immolated bodies in the car that Israel showed to journalists, I was immediately sceptical that Hamas brought that kind of firepower across the border on October 7; they mostly had assault rifles, hand grenades, and a few RPGs. That kind of destruction is much more probable from a helicopter than infantry.

The idea that Israel would then show that footage as justification for implementing similar atrocities on more than ten thousand Palestinians really makes me sick to my stomach.

thank you so much!

Air Force Commander Major Tomer Bar spoke about the events of the first day, saying: “There are many stories of courage by soldiers on the ground. The pilots killed many terrorists and helicopters brought fighters to the battlefield while under fire. We are proud of them and of the reservists who prove the strength of the IDF and the Air Force. We are investigating every day, and improving every day.

The above statement is from a translated Ynet article included in Electeonic Intifada's article.
