If you read the excellent piece about physical media over at The Digital Bits, things aren't quite as bad as they seem just yet. I've been buying films on VHS, laserdisc, VideoCD, DVD, Blu-ray and now 4K. I want to own the films, not just but a digital licence which works until the service stops or the rights expire and the film vanishes.
Good dammit, I will get The Abyss on 4K, I've been waiting over 20 years! ๐
