I'm going to miss AITA. Even if someone makes it a community, it will take a long time to populate.

If you link another way it will take non-lemmy.ml users to the right place without taking them off their instance:

Good:

[/c/witches@lemmy.ml](/c/witches@lemmy.ml) *EDIT: apparently this isn't exactly right. This can crash some links and in some contexts. Sorry, I'll try to update once I learn what the heck the "right" way to do it is. * Vs

Less good:

[Lemmy.ml/c/witches](Lemmy.ml/c/witches)

Can this be pinned somewhere?

Hey so that top link happily crashes Mlem :)

[โ€“] ewe@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Dagnabbit! Also crashes Jerboa. Oops...

Okay, so i don't know anymore and if someone could educate what the best way to link a community on another instance in the way that doesn't take you off your instance, and works on apps and other platforms like MLEM, that would be super swell! I'm going to remove my links for now.

Oh I see, thank you!

Very helpful! Is there a way to do this with posts?
