Communists need to start a real peace movement like before.

The Soviet Union and the communist parties led the movement for peace. We need to do the same. We need to revive it, imho. And take it to new heights.

It's pretty easy to find sources about Russia's invasion of Afghanistan. Here is the article in Britannica.

Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, invasion of Afghanistan in late December 1979 by troops from the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union intervened in support of the Afghan communist government in its conflict with anti-communist Muslim guerrillas during the Afghan War (1978–92) and remained in Afghanistan until mid-February 1989.

Also in Britannica:

The Brezhnev Doctrine severely limited reforms by Soviet-bloc countries in the ensuing decades. In addition, it was used to justify the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979. The Soviets sought to prop up the country’s communist government in its battle with anticommunist Muslim guerrillas.

Russia is certainly not the ONLY major power which has a doctrine justifying invasion. We Americans have the Monroe Doctrine, for one. But if you'd care to explain how Russia is still a leader for peace while using their Brezhnev Doctrine to justify a decades long invasion, I for one am all ears.

You're the expert peacemaker here, I am still waiting for you to enlighten us on why giving American weapons to Mujahideen school shooters was a great peacemaking strategy

I’m still waiting for you to explain how invading a sovereign country is “peacemaking.”

You're the one that said "Was that before or after they invaded Afghanistan" you fucking dipshit. So explain your thought process instead of going "nuh uh, you" like a performing circus seal arfing for treats

So they peacefully invaded Afghanistan?

You tell me since this entire chain of comments is dedicated to your expertise of "Was that before or after they invaded Afghanistan"

Either start expounding on the subject or get expunged for knowing nothing on the subject but squawking pre-programed talking points like a tickle-me elmo doll

Lol, you’re really mad at me for pointing out the obvious contradiction between calling the USSR peaceful and their imperialist behavior.

Expunge me! Straight to the gulag!
