It's bonkers to spend so much money on avatars.

But in this case the fact they are really NFTs can help him out, even if Reddit locks him out permanently. The Reddit Vault is just a crypto wallet tied to your account (which Reddit has access to, of course), and if he thought to save his backup phrase it can be imported into a different crypto wallet and he can figure out the (very confusing) task of selling it (or moving it to a different wallet that Reddit doesn't control).

I wonder when King Steve realizes his NFT marketplace wouldn't be possible at all without third party contributions?
